In Wyatt's "Whoso List to Hunt", women aren't portrayed as much as Rime 190. Women are portrayed as untameable people. It seems no matter how far a man will go for a lady, the man will always end up with nothing.

This is definitely what the poem is trying to convey. i dont really think that a woman's body is mentioned anywhere in this poem. The main focus is women themselves, and in this is case women can be seen as extremely hard to reach.

I think in Wyatt's "whoso list to hunt", the women are portrayed more than the women's body. The women's body was hardly mentioned except for the neck. Women is portrayed in this excerpt as something that is very hard to get to. Wyatt said that "Whoso list her hunt, I put him out of doubt. As well as I, may spend his time in vain." This is saying that it is hard to get to women as they are protected by the king.

I agree that Wyatt isn't attempting to make any inference on women's physical attributes. He treats the women like deer, prey that all hunters chase after but ultimately fail to acquire. In this sense, Wyatt shows more passion towards the hunt, the act of hoping, tailing, and lusting after the woman, as far more invigorating and worthy. Wyatt shows that like in a real hunt, it isn't the specific shape and size of the prey that ultimately matters, but the pursuit that all men crave.

I agree that in Wyatt's "whoso list to hunt", Wyatt isn't really talking about women's physical bodies. Wyatt is more focused on how men are trying to get women, but how it is nearly impossible to actually get them. Wyatt shows that women's bodies don't really matter, but the chase for a woman is worthy.

Assignment: Students are expected to participate in the class’ online discussion forum hosted at shrubber.weebly.com. Questions related to assigned readings will be posted by the teacher each week. Students are expected to post a minimum of one original response per week. When more than one question is posted by the instructor in a given week, students may choose to which of the questions they respond. Students are also expected to comment on at least one other student’s response to the question. Although these are the minimum requirements for the homework grade, students are encouraged to engage in further discussion with their classmates using the forum. These additional responses are OPTIONAL. However, commenting will benefit your participation grade if you did not participate during our whole-class discussion on the day when you post your comment. You DO NOT have an opportunity to make up credit lost for lateness, lack or preparation or violation of classroom/school rules.
Student posts should NOT exceed 100 words. All responses will be graded on content, organization and grammar.
